I was surprised at how pigmented the essence eyeshadows are, even better then some high end brands. Apply the garnier bb cream with the foundation brush from 27Pinkx and powder with the essence powder and the 27Pinkx powder brush. I like doing most of the eyemakeup before I apply foundation so that the foundation stays clean.

I’m not usually one for brown lipstick, but this winter I’ve been experimenting .Dark lips remind me of the 90’s, I have pictures of my little self wearing my granny’s shoes and chocolaty brown lipstick.
Brown has made its comeback, I think it looks good with minimal eye makeup and flawless foundation. You have to be careful though brown lipsticks tend to bring out yellowness in teeth so make sure your teeth are white.
The two lipsticks that I’m reviewing are Desire and Polished up from MAC. They are both very sheer when applied, you might need to apply 2-3 swipes to see some color.
Desire is a red brown, MAC describes it as a warm burgundy wine, which describes it pretty well. When applied it almost looks like a glossy stain. That texture of the lipstick is great it makes my lips look very moisturized. This color would look great all year round. If you are looking for something pigmented this is no the lipstick for you
It is a brown shade with a slight plum undertone. This is a nice lip color that can be worn during the day and night. When applied its not as frighteningly dark as it looks in the tube. It applies slightly glossy and it has a slight golden shimmer. Polished up is a lovely shade for winter and autumn , I wouldn’t wear it in summer.

Most makeup junkies have heard of NARS sheer glow, Kim Kardashian is known to have used it. After all the rave I decided to try the Rolls Royce of foundations. I’ve been using it for a while now and I prefer it to my regular MAC face and body foundation.
The shade I use is called Stromboli, it’s a medium shade with an olive undertone. Its equivalent to a mac NC35. its got a very creamy texture. NARS describes it as having a luminous finish for me it has a semi matt finish. I usually powder after my foundation however I don’t feel the need to powder when I apply this foundation. The foundation is very skin like , it has a nice comfortable feeling on my face.
If you are looking for full coverage, you definitely will have to use some concealer with this foundation. A bonus for me is that it does not contain an SPF which means it photographs really well (no grey /white cast)
I paid $42 which is roughly around R424.03 which is quite expensive since you only get 30ml of product but its great because it is non comedogenic so it wont irritate sensitive skin. I would recommend this foundation if you want medium coverage. For me this foundation has good lasting power and I will definitely buy it again. I’m so sad this product is not available in South Africa.
Today I was cleaning up my studio and decided to do a post on some of my pink lip products , I love that pink lipsticks are so versatile , they can be worn on all skin tones, young and old. You just have to find the right shade of pink.
CHANEL, rouge allure, laque 76
I love CHANELS packaging , this shade is a minky colour that’s in between a gloss and a lipstick. It’s the perfect shade of a grown up pink. Its so sophisticated and definitely a colour for most skin tones.
INGLOT , AMC gloss 544
I’m sure you all have seen these amazing glosses. I’ve got them in three shades. 544 is a favorite because I’m a sucker for bright pinks. The one great thing about this gloss is that it is not sticky which is a bonus. It’s a bright fuchsia pink that has a two toned effect.
YSL, Rouge volupte 9JBB, 10
As you all know, I use this lipstick all the time. I may just have a little crush on it. Its very pigmented with a creamy texture, after application my lips look super moisturized, for me this is the best bright pink lipstick, you get many brands that are similar in color but the application of the YSL rouge volupte is by far the most luxurious.
Bombshell is a golden pink lipstick, think of a Barbie pink with tons of gold flecks, it reminds me of my favorite NARS orgasm blush, it’s very flattering on most skin tones.
Fabby is a purpley pink with a golden shimmer, its lovely for everyday. It looks almost opaque when applied.
SHISEADO, Perfect Rouge, serenity
This is your perfect nude and pink combination. Its very pigmented, creamy and moisturizing, serenity looks great paired with a dark smoky eye.
